Edmar Luiz Fagundes de Almeida

Edmar de Almeida holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Federal University of Minas Gerais); he holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Economics from UFRJ; PhD in Applied Economics from the Institut d’Economie et de Politique de l’Energie – IEPE – University Pierre Mendes-France, France; he is also Associate Professor at UFRJ Institute of Economics and member of the Energy Economics Group of the Institute of IE/UFRJ.

He was Visiting Professor at the University of Paris XI.  He worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Brazil, Energy Research Company – EPE, several energy companies, Inter-American Development Bank – IDB, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development-OECD, and World Bank, among other institutions.

Since 1993 he is dedicated to teach and research, and his main areas of interest are: Industrial Organization and Dynamics of Energy Industries, Regulation and Energy Policy, Innovation of Energy Market Development. Since 1999, the main focus of research is the natural gas industry.

Helder Queiroz Pinto Jr.

Helder Queiroz is PhD in Applied Economics (1993) by the Institute of Energy Economics and Policy/University of Grenoble, France. He is Associate Professor at Institute of Economics (IE), UFRJ, and is a member of the Energy Economics Group, IE/UFRJ. He was IE/UFRJ Research Director during 2002-2003.

Between 1998 and 2000, he served as consultant to the General ANP (National Petroleum Agency) Directorate. He was Visiting Professor at the Universities of Oxford (2001) and Paris XI (2004). He has been participating annually of training courses on Regulation at University of Sherbrooke, Montreal.

He was also consultant to the ALURE Program EU between 1998-2001.

He was coordinator of several research projects sponsored by different institutions and companies such as Eletrobrás, Petrobras, ANP, ANEEL (Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency), among others. He is author of several papers on Economic Regulation and Energy Economics, published in conferences, books and specialized magazines in Brazil and abroad.

Since July 2011, Professor Helder Queiroz is assigned to ANP.

Jacqueline Gisele Batista Silva

Jacqueline Batista Silva holds Bachelor’s degree in Physics at Fluminense Federal University. After 6-year teaching, she works as public servant at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, attending the MBA in Economics and Management in Energy, COPPEAD Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Administration (2009), Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, she joined the team of Energy Economics Group researchers.

José Vitor Bomtempo Martins

José Vitor Bomtempo is Ph.D., Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris, 1994. GEE Associate Researcher and Professor and Researcher of Post-Graduate Course at Escola de Química (School of Chemical)/UFRJ. Areas of interest: economics and business administration, industrial organization and industrial studies.

Luciano Dias Losekann

Luciano Losekann holds Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996) and PhD in Industry and Technology Economics at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003). He is currently Associate Professor II at Fluminense Federal University and GEE Associate Researcher. He has experience in Economics field, with emphasis on Energy Economics, acting mainly on the following subjects: electricity sector, regulation, energy, industrial reform and economy.

Marcelo Colomer Ferraro

Marcelo Colomer is PhD in Industry and Technology Economics at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with PhD Sandwich Scholarship at Université Paris-Sud XI. He is also Professor at Fluminense Federal University and GEE Associate Researcher. He is also specialist in the oil and natural gas, dedicating himself since 2004 to research in the areas of Industrial Organization and Dynamics of Energy Industries, Regulation and Energy.

Renato Pinto de Queiroz

Renato Queiroz holds Master’s degree in Energy Planning in 1984 at COPPE/UFRJ, Post-Graduate in Business Administration at PUC-RJ, in 1976, and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, in 1972, at UERJ (State University of Rio de Janeiro).

He made part of Management Body at Furnas Centrais Elétricas S.A., in Planning Area, Board of Engineering, Planning and Construction; he worked as Presidency Assistant at TERMORIO S.A., and worked as superintendent of Energy Resources at Energy Research Company, executive coordinator of the 2030 National Energy Plan and National Energy Balance in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.

Currently, he is part of the Energy Economics Group of the UFRJ Institute of Economics.
